Backdraft is happy to announce that they’ve inked a deal with Swedish label GMR Music (home to Crucified Barbara, Switch Opens, Krux as well as The Second Coming) for the release of the band’s third album, This Heaven Goes To Eleven, which is scheduled for release on the 30th of March. Above, singer Rev Sorethroat and guitarist Rabbi Rob signing the contract!

This Heaven Goes To Eleven will be released on CD, digitally and – for the first time in Backdraft’s career – also on vinyl, featuring an exclusive bonus track! The album was recorded over the course of 2010 in the band’s A.R.T. Studios in Stockholm and was mixed by Jo E, just like its’ predecessor.

The first single, Idiot, will hit the airwaves a few weeks prior to the album release:

“Although Idiot is perhaps our most straight forward, radio friendly four-on-the floor rocker to date, the album as a whole is our most diverse and eclectic so far. We are very satisfied with the result, and also to be able to continue the cooperation with GMR Music that begun with The Second Coming back in 2007”, says bass player Mats Rydström.
